The box office turned into a massive showdown as Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s War 2 clashed with Rajinikanth’s Coolie on August 14, 2025. Among the year’s most awaited releases, both films drew huge crowds and raked in impressive numbers, emerging as two of the biggest releases of the year. Now that both films have entered their third week, the early excitement and big weekend crowds are starting to fade, making the weekdays an important test for their box office run.
War 2 Box Office Collection Day 15:
War 2 has enjoyed a strong run at the box office, though it witnessed major fluctuations after its blockbuster opening. The film kicked off on a massive note, collecting Rs 52 crore on Day 1 (Thursday). The momentum continued on Day 2 (Friday) with collections rising to Rs 57.85 crore. However, the film saw a dip over the weekend, earning Rs 33.25 crore on Day 3 (Saturday) and Rs 32.65 crore on Day 4 (Sunday). The Day 5 (Monday) drop was sharp with only Rs 8.75 crore, but the film managed slight stability on Day 6 (Tuesday) with Rs 9 crore. Collections further declined mid week, with Rs 5.75 crore on Day 7 (Wednesday) and Rs 5 crore on Day 8 (Thursday), bringing the Week 1 total to an impressive Rs 204.25 crore. Entering its second week, War 2 earned Rs 4 crore on its Day 9 (2nd Friday) and an estimated Rs 6.25 crore on Day 10 (2nd Saturday) and Rs 7.25 crore on Day 11 (2nd Sunday), showing a healthy jump. However, the collections dropped sharply on weekdays with Rs 2.15 crore on Day 12 (2nd Monday), Rs 2.75 crore on Day 13 (2nd Tuesday) and Rs 2.50 crore Day 14 (2nd Wednesday).
On Day 15, early estimates suggest around Rs 1.50 crore, taking the total box office collection to Rs 231.25 crore.

War 2, a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War, hit theatres on August 14, 2025. It brings back Hrithik Roshan as Agent Kabir after a six-year gap. NTR Jr. joins the franchise as Agent Vikram. Anil Kapoor and Ashutosh Rana are also seen in pivotal roles.
Coolie Box Office Collection Day 15:
Coolie stormed the box office with a blockbuster opening, raking in Rs 65 crore on Day 1 (Thursday). The film maintained strong momentum on Day 2 (Friday) with Rs 54.75 crore, though a slight dip was noted. Over the weekend, collections stood at Rs 39.5 crore on Day 3 (Saturday) and Rs 35.25 crore on Day 4 (Sunday), keeping its first four day total on a solid high. However, Coolie saw a steep fall on weekdays, earning Rs 12 crore on Day 5 (Monday), Rs 9.5 crore on Day 6 (Tuesday), Rs 7.5 crore on Day 7 (Wednesday), and Rs 6.15 crore on Day 8 (Thursday). Despite the drops, the film closed its Week 1 at an impressive Rs 229.65 crore. Entering its second week, Coolie added Rs 5.85 crore on Day 9 (second Friday), saw a big jump with Rs 10.5 crore on Day 10 (Saturday) and Rs 11.35 crore on Day 11 (Sunday). The film dropped again on weekdays, minting Rs 3.25 crore on Day 12 (2nd Monday), Rs 3.65 crore on Day 13 (2nd Tuesday) and Rs 4.50 crore on Day 14 (2nd Wednesday).
As per early figures from Sacnilk, ‘Coolie’ collected Rs 1.75 crore on Day 15, taking its 15 day total to Rs 270.85 crore. Despite the sharp weekday drops, the film has emerged as a major commercial success.
About Coolie:
The plot will focus on Deva, a former gold smuggler who is now working as a coolie. He seeks to regain his past glory by reviving his old gang with stolen technology hidden in vintage golden watches, leading to unintended consequences.
It also stars Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Rachita Ram, Reba Monica John, Junior MGR, Kanna Ravi, Monisha Blessy and Kaali Venkat. Aamir Khan will be seen in a cameo role. It is produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures.
