New Delhi: Indian Director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri leaving no stone unturned to take his latest film ‘The Vaccine War’ to every corner of the country, while on the other hand the film is achieving rare global achievements. The film has got a place in the library of Oscars.
However, this film has quickly captured the hearts of audiences around the world and has also garnered appreciation. The film is creating a lot of buzz due to word of mouth, which shows its cultural and social importance.
Recently, the Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences asked for a copy of the screenplay of ‘The Vaccine War’ to become part of its prestigious core collection. This prestigious collection is a treasure trove of cinematic material made available for study exclusively in the Library’s Reading Room.
Another exciting thing is that the Academy’s research library is open to everyone from students and film makers to writers and people interested in the world of cinema. Earlier, Indian films like Lagaan, Kapil Sharma’s Zweigato, Action Replayy, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Rock On were approached for this and now ‘The Vaccine War’ is getting this rare honour.
‘The Vaccine War’ stars Nana Patekar, Saptami Gowda, Raima Sen, Anupam Kher and Pallavi Joshi in the lead roles and the film tells the story of the difficult times when India made the vaccine. Produced by Pallavi Joshi and I Am Buddha, the film is scheduled to release on 28 September 2023 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
