Music composer and singer Vishal Dadlani has voiced strong support for comedian Samay Raina amid the controversy surrounding his show India’s Got Latent (IGL). The show faced heavy criticism after Ranveer Allahbadia (BeerBiceps) made a controversial comment about parents’ intimacy. As a result, Samay deleted all episodes of the show, but the backlash continued.
Vishal Calls Out ‘Hypocritical’ Outrage
Taking to his Instagram stories, Vishal slammed the trolls targeting Samay and the show, calling their outrage “nonsense” and “hypocritical.” He posted, “Would you let Samay Raina feel up your hairy arms every day, or join in once to stop the absolutely hypocritical prudish nonsense that’s going on right now?”
Vishal also pointed out what he sees as a larger issue – attempts by the government to control online content. He stated, “The government wanted to control online content. They’ve been trying and getting stopped for a long time. Now, in this wave of TV-generated outrage, people are giving away their own freedom.” He further questioned the lack of attention to serious issues like the Maha Kumbh stampede deaths, asking, “What Kumbh stampede deaths? Samjhe?”

Ranveer Allahbadia Apologises For His Remarks
Meanwhile, Ranveer Allahbadia has already apologised for his controversial comment. The Supreme Court has condemned his remarks but granted him interim protection from arrest. No further FIRs will be filed against him in Maharashtra and Assam.
In connection with the ongoing controversy, Maharashtra Cyber Cell has summoned multiple people associated with India’s Got Latent, including Apoorva Mukhija, Ashish Chanchlani, and 30 to 40 others.
