New Delhi: Bollywood actress Gayatri Joshi’s car, who debuted with Shahrukh Khan’s film ‘Swades’, met with an accident in Italy. She was traveling in Lamborghini with her husband Vikas Oberoi. However, both narrowly escaped.
Meanwhile, a Swiss couple in a Ferrari car died. Upon receiving the information, the police reached the spot and started initiated the probe. The police suspect that the Joshi’s husband was racing with other luxury cars.
As per the reports, the incident took place in Sarinia, Italy. Oberoi, inLamborghini, was racing while other luxury cars were also driving behind his car. As he tried to overtake a mini truck, the car hit Ferrari running in front of him. The Ferrari then collided with the mini truck running alongside.
After the collision, the mini truck overturned as it is visible in the viral video. However, the Ferrari also caught fire, due to which the couple in it died. The deceased have been identified as 63-year-old Melissa Krautli and 67-year-old Marcus Krautli, both from Switzerland.
Gayatri told a news website that Vikas and she were in Italy. They met with an accident here (multi-car collision). “By the grace of God we both are absolutely fine,” said the actress.

A video of the accident went viral on the social media. A car running behind the other vehicles, which met with the accident, recorded the whole incident. The viral video showed how all the cars competed with each other.
Distance from Bollywood after just one film
Gayatri Joshi made her Bollywood debut in 2004 with the film ‘Swades’. She played the lead role with Shahrukh. His acting was also highly praised. However, after doing only one film ‘Swades’, she distanced herself from acting and married Vikas Oberoi, managing director of Oberoi Construction.
Since then she has been seen away from Bollywood. She started her career in 1999 by participating in the Femina Miss India Competition. Next year in 2000, she won the title of Miss India International, which gave her the opportunity to represent India in Miss International 2000 in Japan.
