Veteran actor Dharmendra has been discharged from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital after being admitted for a few days. He will continue his treatment at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. Amitabh Bachchan, who is Dharmendra’s close friend and has worked with him in several projects, visited the actor.
Amitabh Bachchan was seen driving the car himself as he visited Dharmendra after he got discharged.
Fans praised their friendship and reminisced their work in Sholay. One netizen commented, “Jai Veeru …. A real true friends.”
Meanwhile, Dharmendra earlier fell victim to a death hoax, but his team assured that the actor is stable and recovering. His team shared an official statement and requested that the public and media refrain from any further speculation regarding his health.
The statement read, “Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time. We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you.”
Earlier, his wife Hema Malini slammed the death rumours of Dharmendra and requested privacy in the tough times. She wrote on X, “What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy.”
On the work front, Dharmendra will return to the big screen with the film ‘Ikkis’. He will share the screen space with his co-star and friend Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda. Ikkis is scheduled to release in December 2025.
