Shah Rukh Khan is one of the biggest stars on the planet. He’s not only known for his acting skills but for his humanitarian and philanthropic works also. He is affectionately called King Khan by his fans and critics alike. He is also one of the richest actors in the world.
Apart from his films doing well at the box office, there are numerous sources of his income like businesses, advertisements, investments among others. Recently, a Reddit post went viral, that broke down Shan Rukh’s business investments and earnings.
Back in 2000 the ‘Jawan’ actor had started a website named www.SRKworld.com where he would post updates for his fans about his movies, promotions, events, etc. The website was operated by Aryan Informatics. It was sold to B4U.
Later, the post added that around 2014, he used to charge about 30-40 Crores for starring in a film. Now, King Khan has stopped charging fees for his movies. The actor has decided to take a share of the movie profits. As per reports, for the 2023 blockbuster ‘Pathaan’, the actor took 60% of the total profits earned. Later, a report by The Indian Express confirmed this. The report mentioned that he did not charge his fees for the movie, rather he did take a percentage of the profits. Reportedly, the actor earned ₹200 crores from the film.

Along with this, he charges a lot for appearing and performing at functions such as weddings. He also owns 26% stake in KidZania amusement park.
The Reddit post also mentioned that streaming giant Netflix has the rights of the films from the Shah Rukh’s production company Red Chillies Entertainment. This too was true as Netflix had posted a blog about on the same. “Red Chillies is surging ahead in global entertainment and for the first time, our great stories are going global on Netflix all at once and crossing all geographical barriers, waiting to be discovered all over the world. No more waiting for our fans wherever they are,” said Shah Rukh Khan.

He also owns holds 55% of the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders’s ownership.
