Vikrant Massey, who is one of the most talented actors in India, has left his fans heartbroken by announcing his retirement from acting. He penned a heartfelt post on Instagram to share this news with the audiences; leaving everyone shocked. He revealed that he will do more projects only that are slated to release in 2025.
Vikrant wrote on Instagram, “The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realise its time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor. So coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. Last 2 movies and many a years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between.”
On the work front, Vikrant Massey was recently seen in the movie ‘The Sabarmati Report’ with Raashi Khanna and Ridhi Dogra. Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the film on X. He reshared a post that called the film ‘a must watch’ and wrote, “Well said. It is good that this truth is coming out, and that too in a way common people can see it. A fake narrative can persist only for a limited period of time. Eventually, the facts will always come out!”
While promoting the Sabarmati Report, the actor addressed the accusation of being ‘BJP friendly’ because of his movie. But Vikrant shared that his perspective has changed in the last decade and he feels that things are not as bad as he thought it was.
While speaking to Shubhankar Mishra on his podcast, Vikrant said, “People change. I wasn’t the same person I was 10 years ago. I am hopeful that I will not be the same person 10 years from now that I am. Change is the only constant and I am not saying just for the quote. My perspective to things have changed over the years. But as I said, I am still a secular person.”
“Owing to the nature of my job, I have travelled throughout the country and I meet different people. I meet thousands of people on a daily basis. I also have my own eyes and ears. So, a few things that I used to think were wrong, today I don’t think they are wrong. Because I think things aren’t as bad as I had previously thought. I travel through UP, Bihar to do small-budget films and are set in rural India, I met people there and have discussions there. I have seen things with my own eyes so I am feeling that things are not as bad as I thought it was. I also need to calm myself down and see things from a very neutral perspective and not be influenced by anybody,” he added.
Vikrant will next star in ‘Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan’ with Shanaya Kapoor.
