Vijay Deverakonda has assured fans that he is safe following a minor accident involving his car on Monday evening. Reports circulated online claiming that the actor’s vehicle was involved in a mishap near Undavalli in Jogulamba Gadwala district.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Vijay clarified the situation, writing: “All is well. Car took a hit, but we are all fine. Went and did a strength workout as well and just got back home. My head hurts but nothing a biryani and sleep will not fix. So biggest hugs and my love to all of you. Don’t let the news stress you.”

Recently, Vijay was spotted visiting Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Maha Samadhi in Puttaparthi with his family including his brother, actor Anand Deverakonda, and parents Govardhan Rao and Madhavi. A video shared on social media showed the actor being welcomed by the ashram management with a bouquet and a framed picture of Sathya Sai Baba. Fans spotted the engagement ring on his finger, further fueling speculation about his reported engagement to actor Rashmika Mandanna.
Though neither Vijay nor Rashmika has confirmed the engagement. The actors first shared the screen in the 2018 film ‘Geetha Govindam’, which became a huge hit. The audience loved their on-screen chemistry. Rashmika and Vijay then starred together in the 2019 ‘Dear Comrade’.
On the work front, Vijay Deverakonda was last seen in Kingdom, which is currently streaming on Netflix.
