In an interview with ANI, the actor opened up about his experience by saying this:

Meanwhile, the traditional ‘Lathmar’ Holi celebrations started in Nandagaon on Sunday, marking the beginning of the week-long Holi celebrations in Mathura. This special event is based on the stories of Lord Krishna and Radha. According to the legend, Krishna and his friends visited Radha’s village, Barsana, to tease her and her friends. In return, the women chased them away with sticks (lathis).

Devotees and tourists from all over the country and abroad gathered at the Nandagaon temple to witness this colorful tradition. The Holi celebrations in Mathura, considered the birthplace of Lord Krishna, will end with grand processions, cultural performances, and temple rituals leading up to the main Holi festival.

Additional security measures have been put in place to ensure a smooth celebration, with local authorities monitoring crowd management and traffic control. The Lathmar Holi celebrations in Mathura’s Barsana started on Saturday, with many people coming together to enjoy the traditional event. Earlier on Friday, the Laddu Mar Holi began at the Shri Ladliji Maharaj temple in Barsana, where devotees threw sweets at each other.

This year, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath kicked off Rangotsav 2025 at Shri Radha Bihari Inter College in Barsana, Mathura, and showered flower petals on the crowd.
