Kartik Aaryan is set to reprise his role in the third installment of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa,’ scheduled to begin shooting in March 2024. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film promises to bring added excitement to the franchise with numerous twists. Exclusive information from Indiatoday.in reveals that Vidya Balan will join Kartik Aaryan in the upcoming movie, taking on the role of Manjulika.
After impressing fans with her acting prowess as Manjulika in the first part, Vidya Balan is returning to the spooky franchise alongside Kartik Aaryan for the third part. According to the sources, “The makers are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ raises the bar for the audience as well. The film will see Vidya Balan return as Manjulika after the first film. Vidya was offered the part, and she was really kicked about getting into the character of Manjulika once again.”

At present, the primary female lead for the movie remains undisclosed. Reports suggest that Sara Ali Khan is a potential candidate to star alongside Kartik in the film. However, the team is currently in talks with various actors, and the final decision is yet to be made. They are searching for a female lead who can effectively complement Vidya in her role as Manjulika. If all goes according to plan, the female lead for ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ is expected to be finalized by mid-February this year.
Regarding the franchise, the initial film hit theaters in 2007, featuring Akshay Kumar, Shiney Ahuja, and Vidya Balan in prominent roles. The second installment showcased Kartik and Kiara Advani, along with Tabu playing pivotal roles.
