Viduthalai Trailer Out: Viduthalai, the much-anticipated social drama directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Vetrimaaran, has been in the works for quite some time. The film’s production, which will be released in two parts, was recently completed. Vetrimaaran and his team have finally released the official trailer for Viduthalai: Part 1 after a long wait, and it has completely raised expectations for the film, which stars Soori as the protagonist and Vijay Sethupathi in a pivotal role.
The 2.42-minute official trailer for Viduthalai Part 1 suggests that director Vetrimaaran is preparing to return to the big screen with yet another soul-stirring film experience. According to the trailer, the social drama revolves around a fiery battle between the system, specifically a battalion of policemen, and a gang of rebels known as ‘Makkal Padai’ (People’s Army), who are formed to prevent atrocities against women and the oppressed. The raw portrayal of the police force, realistic visuals, legendary musician Ilaiyaraja’s powerful background score, and fantastic star cast all suggest that Viduthalai will be a truly transformative cinematic experience for the Tamil film industry.

Soori plays the protagonist, Kumaresan, a young police constable who is part of the system on a mission to eliminate ‘Makkal Padai’ and its leader, Perumal Vathiyar. Vijay Sethupathi, a national award-winning actor, will make an extended cameo appearance in the Viduthalai film franchise as Perumal Vathiyar. Gautham Vasudev Menon, an actor and filmmaker, plays the police chief.
