Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Sam Bahadur’ starring Vicky Kaushal and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Anima’l starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead roles is going to clash at the box office on Friday, December 1. Both the films have been one of the most anticipated movies of the year. The clash between the two might affect the business of both these films. On being asked about his thought on this matter, Vicky reacted in a very fun way along with a cricket analogy.
Speaking with Indian Express, Vicky Kaushal was asked about his thoughts on simultaneous release of ‘Sam Bahadur’ and ‘Animal’ on the same day, despite his film being the first one to announce the release date. He responded it with an example of cricket analogy and said ‘When two opening batsmen come to the crease, playing for the same team, you won’t say that the two batsmen are clashing with each other; they are playing for a single team, so we are playing for Hindi cinema.’
He later added that like in cricket, where one batter goes for the big hits while the other strategically accumulates singles to maintain the strike, both approaches in the game are crucial. When again asked about which film among the two would be hitting boundaries and which one would focus on singles, Vicky stated, “The audience will decide.”
