Vettaiyan OTT Release Date: Superstar Rajinikanth returned to the big screen with his movie ‘Vettaiyan’, in which he was seen police officer. He collaborated with several big stars including legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan and their on-screen dynamic received praise from fans. After ‘Vettaiyan’ became a grand success at the box office, there were a lot of speculations about its OTT release date. According to the latest buzz, ‘Vettaiyan’ will arrive on OTT after Diwali 2024. 

Vettaiyan OTT Release Date: 

According to several media reports, ‘Vettaiyan’ will release on OTT on November 7, 2024. Prime Video has reportedly bought the OTT rights of ‘Vettayan’. 

Apart from Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan, the movie has a talented ensemble of stars including Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan and Abhirami in the pivotal roles.

While speaking to 123 Telugu, Gnanavel talked about the expectations audiences have for ‘Vettaiyan’. He shared, “After Jailer’s massive success, the expectations on Rajini sir have increased a lot. Vettaiyan will have songs and fights as well. But I didn’t deviate from what I wanted to convey. We have seen films about encounter specialists before, but we have never seen their background stories. Vettaiyan throws light on their thinking process.”

In another interview, the filmmaker also spoke about his decision to cast Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth together.  He said, “Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan were cast together, purely because the story demanded it. When I approached Fahadh Faasil and Rana Dauggubati they asked me why they were required in the film when two legends are already there in it, to which I said the story needs these actors. This is a multi starrer. Casting all these actors isn’t for business purpose, but it’s done for the story. “

‘Vettaiyan’ has crossed Rs 140 crore mark at the box office in India.
