Veteran Tamil Actor Delhi Ganesh No More: Tamil Cinema Stars Vijay Sethupathi, Karthi And Others Mourn

Delhi Ganesh, veteran Tamil actor, passed away at the age of 80.

Delhi Ganesh, the veteran Tamil actor, passed away on the night of November 9 at the age of 80. His funeral will reportedly be held on November 11, Monday. He was one of the prominent figures in the Tamil film industry and was last seen in Kamal Haasan-starrer ‘Indian 2’. His colleagues from the Tamil cinema, including Vijay Sethupathi and Karthi, have mourned his demise and paid their respects.

Expressing his grief on the demise of Delhi Ganesh, Vijay Sethupathi wrote on X, “Deeply pained to know of the demise of #DelhiGanesh sir, one of Tamil cinema’s most versatile actors.The void he leaves behind will be hard to fill. My deepest condolences to his family members, friends and fans.”

Remembering the late veteran actor, Karthi wrote on X, “Saddened by the demise of Delhi Ganesh sir. His iconic roles in numerous films and his ability to bring to life, unforgettable characters on screen will forever be etched in the history of Tamil cinema. You will be deeply missed, sir.”

R Madhavan wrote, “A phenomenal actor and an amazing soul departs for the heavens to entertain them. You will be so sorely missed, sir..  Rest in peace for eternity. #DelhiGanesh.” 

He made his film debut with the 1976 movie ‘Pattina Pravesam’. He is best known for his role in ‘Nayakan’, ‘Michael Madana Kama Rajan’, ‘Thenali’, ‘Pasi’ and ‘Sindhu Bhairavi’, among others.
