Veteran Marathi Actress Jyoti Chandekar Passes Away At 68

Veteran Marathi actress Jyoti Chandekar passed away on August 16 at the age of 68.

Jyoti Chandekar, a veteran actress who mostly worked in the Marathi film industry, passed away on August 16 at around 4 PM. The cause of her death has not been disclosed yet. The news of her demise was confirmed by the channel Star Pravah as they paid tribute to the late actress.

She was well known for playing the role of Purna Aji in the show ‘Tharal Tar Mag’. Paying tribute to Jyoti Chandekar, Star Pravah’s official Instagram page wrote, “Heartfelt tribute to everyone’s beloved Purna grandmother i.e. senior actress Jyoti Chandekar…!”

Jyoti Chandekar worked in the showbiz for over five decades, starting her career at the young age of 12. She is known for her popular films like Dholki, Paulavat, Salaam, and Sanjparv. She also appeared in popular TV shows like ‘Tu Saubhagyavati Ho’ and ‘Chhatriwali’.
