New Delhi: Veteran Indian film producer Abdul Gaffar Nadiadwala passes away at the age of 91. He breathed his last today at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, as per reports. The reason for his death was multiple problems including diabetes and asthma.

The Hera Pheri producer and Firoz Nadiadwala’s father’s funeral will take place from his residence, Barkat at JVPD Scheme at 4 p.m. on August 22. He will be cremated at Irla Masjid.
Abdul Gaffar Nadiadwala has been a part of this industry since 1984. His first venture as a producer was Jhutha Sach starring Dharmendra and Rekha. His next films were Kahoo Ke Do Rang and the comedy-drama Hera Pheri. Hera Pheri is considered to be one of the finest comedies of Bollywood.
He also produced several films like Aa Gale Lag Jaa, Shankar Shambhu, Lahoo Ke Do Rang, Jhutha Sach, Watan Ke Rakhwale, Sone Pe Suhaaga and others. He was extremely passionate about his film and gave his heart and soul to every project.
Gaffarbhai was likewise an accomplice in Empire Audio Center with Yusuf Lakdawala in the days when it was begun.

The entire film fraternity is saddened by his demise. Actor Ajay Devgn taking to his Twitter handle expressed condolences to the family. He wrote, “Deepest condolences on the passing of Shri Gaffarbhai Nadiadwala. My father & he were associates during the golden era of our cinema. Om Shanti AG Nadiadwala saab. My condolences to the Nadiadwala family.”
