Veteran actress and dancer Madhumati passed away at the age of 87. She started her career in Bollywood in 1957 and worked in several industries, including Punjabi, Marathi, Hindi, Bhojpuri and South Indian. Her fans and well-wishers remembered her work after her demise and paid their heartfelt tribute.
After working in the film industry for over two decades, she left in 1977. However, she made a comeback in 2001. She also ran her own dance academy ‘Madhumati Dance Academy’ in Mumbai. She was often compared to Helen due to her impeccable dance skills.
She married Manohar Deepak at the young age of 19.
