Veera Dheera Sooran is finally gearing up to release on the OTT platform after running in theatres. The movie received a good response from the audience and had a decent run at the box office despite the controversy. Veera Dheera Sooran is confirmed to release on Prime Video on April 24, 2025. Announcing the OTT release date, Prime Video India wrote in the caption, “One night. No rules. Only survival. A night that will change everything. #VeeraDheeraSooranOnPrime, April 24.”
The movie revolves around Kaali, who gets involved in a a dangerous crime network and his mysterious mission forms the plot. Veera Dheera Sooran stars Chiyaan Vikram, S. J. Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Dushara Vijayan and Siddique.
Veera Dheera Sooran was also involved in a controversy before its release, causing a slight delay in its first day first show and affected its box office. According to NewsBytes, all early morning shows of Veera Dheera Sooran were cancelled as the Delhi High Court stayed the film’s release till 10:30 AM. Multiplex chain like Cinepolis and PVR won’t show the movie before 11 AM and its North American premiere shows were reportedly cancelled as well. This order was passed after a Mumbai-based production company, B4U, alleged that the film’s producers violated their contract of selling the film’s OTT rights before its theatrical release and appealed to the court.

Veera Dheera Sooran is titled ‘Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2’ and its prequel is reportedly in production. The movie is written and directed by S. U. Arun Kumar and produced by Riya Shibu under HR Pictures.
On the work front, Vikram was last seen in Thangalaan with Daniel Caltagirone, Pasupathy, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan and Hari Krishnan. He will next star in Chiyaan 63.
