According to the website Sacnilk, Veera Dheera Sooran had a decent opening and earned Rs 3.25 crore on day 1. The numbers are expected to higher on the weekend.
The movie is also titled ‘Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2’, and its prequel will be release as ‘Veera Dheera Part 1’.
The movie’s collection might have been affected due to the cancellation of its morning shows. According to NewsBytes, all early morning shows of Veera Dheera Sooran were cancelled as the Delhi High Court stayed the film’s release till 10:30 AM. Multiplex chain like Cinepolis and PVR won’t show the movie before 11 AM and its North American premiere shows were reportedly cancelled as well.
This order was passed after a Mumbai-based production company, B4U, alleged that the film’s producers violated their contract of selling the film’s OTT rights before its theatrical release and appealed to the court.
Veera Dheera Sooran also stars S. J. Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Dushara Vijayan and Siddique. The movie revolves around Kaali, who is a store owner and family man but things changes when he gets involved in a dangerous crime network.
