New Delhi: Supermodel Gigi Hadid of the United States was asked to attend the opening of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center as a guest. Gigi went to a short concert conducted within the venue for the guests on Day 2 of the launch event on April 1.

Varun Dhawan welcomed her up on stage, took her in his arms, and kissed her cheeks to give her a traditional Bollywood greeting. Although it was a cute moment, several internet users criticised Varun because they said Gigi appeared to be clearly uncomfortable. Even worse, a troll posted that VD kissed her against her will. The actor, however, had none of it and responded to trolls effectively.

Varun Dhawan gives it back to the trolls

Netizens took to Twitter to slam varun’s act. One of the many tweets read, “If you are a woman, you are not safe anywhere with anyone. Even if you are Gigi Hadid, invited to a party with an “elite” crowd, guys like Varun Dhawan will randomly pick you up and kiss you without your consent, all in the name of fun. Disgusting (sic).” However, the tweet has now been deleted.

In relatiation Varun Dhawan wrote, “I guess today you woke up and decided to be woke. So lemme burst ur bubble and tell u it was planned for her to be on stage so find a new Twitter cause to vent about rather then going out and doing something about things . Good morning (sic).”
