Varun Dhawan opens up about his disease vestibular hypofunction; says,”I put so much pressure on myself”

New Delhi: Bollywood star Varun Dhawan is going to be seen in the film ‘Bhediya’ soon. The character and avatar of the actor in this movie are completely different, which his fans are very excited to see. Varun is also doing tremendous promotion of the film. However, during the promotion of Bhediya itself, the actor made a big disclosure about his health, which left his fans stunned.

Varun Dhawan diagnosed with this disease 

During the promotion of his film ‘Bhediya’, Varun Dhawan told India Today, that he has been suffering from a condition called vestibular hypofunction. In this disease, the person loses the balance of his body.

The actor said, “The minute we opened doors, don’t you think we went back to the same rat race? How many people here can say that they have changed? I see people working even harder! In fact, I started pushing so much harder (with) my film JugJugg Jeeyo, it felt like I was running for an election. I don’t know why, but I put so much pressure on myself.”

He added, “Recently, I just shut down. I didn’t know what had happened to me. I had this thing called vestibular hypofunction, (where) basically your balance goes off. But I just pushed myself so hard. We are just running in this race, nobody is asking why. I think there is a greater purpose (why) we are all here. I am trying to find mine, and hopefully, people will find theirs.”

What is Vestibular Hypofunction?

Vestibular Hypofunction is a balance system inside the ear, which works with the eye and is most useful in creating a balance of muscles. Due to the deterioration of this system, the balance of the body gets completely disturbed.

Work front 

On the work front, he will soon be seen in the film ‘Bhediya’. In this film, Kriti Sanon will also be seen playing the lead role along with Varun Dhawan. ‘Bhediya’ is directed by Amar Kaushik. The movie will hit theatres on 25 November 2022.
