Uunchai box office day 8 collection: Anupam Kher’s film stands at Rs 18.27 crore

New Delhi: The movie Uunchai, directed by Sooraj Barjatya, premiered in a few cinemas on November 11, 2022. At the box office, the movie competed with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Yashoda, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The movie is doing okay at the box office despite the BO conflict. Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, Anupam Kher, and Parineeti Chopra all appear in the movie. Ajay Devgn's Drishyam 2's November 18 release didn't significantly affect Uunchai's box office results. It has only noticed a very minor decline at the BO.

Box Office Collection 

After Prem Ratan Dhan Payo with Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor, Uunchai marked Sooraj Barjatya's return to directing. On day 8, the movie brought in Rs 1.25 crore, according to early projections. Uunchai's total BO earnings currently stand at Rs 18.27 crore. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the day 7 box office on Twitter. He wrote, "#Uunchai gets affected due to #Drishyam2 wave [especially at multiplexes], but should gather speed on [second] Sat and Sun [good advance bookings]… Meanwhile, #Rajshri has added 92 cinemas in Week 2… [Week 2] Fri 1.31 cr. Total: ₹ 18.33 cr. #India biz (sic)."

About Uunchai 

Sooraj Barjatya, a director of family dramas, is the man behind the camera for Uunchai. After directing Prem Ratan Dhan Payo in 2015, which starred Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, he makes a comeback with this movie. Uunchai, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, and Anupam Kher, hit theatres on November 11, 2022. The movie is produced by Mahaveer Jain Films, Boundless Media, and Rajshri Productions. The plot of Uunchai centres on three elderly friends who climb to the Everest Base Camp to grant their fourth friend’s final request. For the three of them, what starts as a straightforward hike becomes a personal, emotional, and spiritual adventure. Amit Trivedi wrote the songs for Uunchai. Irshad Kamil is the writer of the lyrics. George Joseph is the composer of the movie’s score.
