Uunchai Box Office Day 7: Sooraj Barjatya’s film Uunchai opted for a very conservative release of about 480 screens. Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, and Boman Irani in the lead, the film saw a great jump since its release. The film also features, Danny Denzongpa, Parineeti Chopra and Neena Gupta in pivotal roles.

On its seventh day, the film minted Rs 1.55 crore in a single day. The total collection now stands at Rs 17.01 crore, according to trade reports. Meanwhile, Uunchai had an overall 14.42 per cent Hindi occupancy on Day 7.
About the film
Sooraj Barjatya, a director of family dramas, is the man behind the camera for Uunchai. After directing Prem Ratan Dhan Payo in 2015, which starred Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, he makes a comeback with this movie. Uunchai, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, and Anupam Kher, hit theatres on November 11, 2022.
The movie is produced by Mahaveer Jain Films, Boundless Media, and Rajshri Productions. The plot of the film centres on three elderly friends who climb to the Everest Base Camp to grant their fourth friend’s final request. For the three of them, what starts as a straightforward hike becomes a personal, emotional, and spiritual adventure. Amit Trivedi wrote the songs for Uunchai. Irshad Kamil is the writer of the lyrics. George Joseph is the composer of the movie’s score.
