Uunchai Box Office Collection: Sooraj Barjatya’s film Uunchai starring Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani saw a rapid growth again on its Day 5. The movie minted approx Rs 1.80 crore on Tuesday, taking the total to Rs 13.84 crore nett.

The tale of friendship also stars Danny Denzongpa, Parineeti Chopra, Neena Gupta in pivotal roles. Uunchai has been highly praised for its plot, execution and the performance by the actors.

The movie saw a dip on its fourth day, which is evitable on a Monday. However, it gained its moment again.

The film earned Rs 1.81 crore on its first day of release despite having a small number of theatres. Positive word-of-mouth gained the audience’s approval gradually throughout the weekend. On Day 3, November 13, the film’s box office earnings soared. According to trade estimates, it made Rs 5.05 crore in a single day. As a result, the total amount collected is now Rs 10.50 crore. On Sunday, Uunchai had a 50.63 per cent overall Hindi.

About the film

Sooraj Barjatya, a director of family dramas, is the man behind the camera for Uunchai. After directing Prem Ratan Dhan Payo in 2015, which starred Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, he makes a comeback with this movie. Uunchai, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, and Anupam Kher, hit theatres on November 11, 2022.

The movie is produced by Mahaveer Jain Films, Boundless Media, and Rajshri Productions. The plot of Uunchai centres on three elderly friends who climb to the Everest Base Camp to grant their fourth friend’s final request. For the three of them, what starts as a straightforward hike becomes a personal, emotional, and spiritual adventure. Amit Trivedi wrote the songs for Uunchai. Irshad Kamil is the writer of the lyrics. George Joseph is the composer of the movie’s score.
