Urvashi Rautela’s latest film, Daaku Mahaaraj, which also stars legendary actors Nandamuri Balakrishna, hit theaters on January 12. Interestingly, the film’s release coincided with the much-anticipated Game Changer, featuring Kiara Advani and Ram Charan. Despite its star-studded cast and significant buzz, Game Changer failed to impress audiences and underperformed at the box office.
In contrast, Daaku Mahaaraj has been receiving immense love and appreciation from viewers. Recently, Urvashi Rautela sat down for an interview, where she expressed gratitude for the positive response, which has solidified her position in the industry. However, she also took a subtle dig at Kiara Advani’s Game Changer.
Urvashi shared a video clip from the interview on her Instagram handle, where she addressed comparisons between her film and Game Changer. When asked about the box office numbers, she responded, “I’ve been reading a lot of tweets. Our film was released during the festival of Makar Sankranti, a festive time, so everyone is saying, ‘Kiara’s film Game Changer is a disaster, and Urvashi’s Daaku Mahaaraj turned out to be a blockbuster superhit.’ I’m like, ‘Isme meri toh koi galti nahi hai’ (It’s not my fault).”
Her candid remark sparked a buzz on social media, with many feeling she was too blunt in criticising a contemporary’s work.
Urvashi Posts Stories Hinting At Game Changer‘s Paid PR
Urvashi Rautela’s comments didn’t stop there. Later, she posted two Instagram stories that seemed to take a veiled swipe at her contemporaries. In one story, she shared a message that read, “Jealousy from a superstar? Paid PR can’t overshadow real talent and hard work.”
She quickly followed up with another story that stated, “When failure breeds envy, even paid PR can’t eclipse genuine success.”
Fans were quick to interpret these messages as subtle digs at Kiara Advani and Ram Charan, whose film has faced accusations of falsifying box office numbers and using paid PR to generate a positive response.

She remarked, “It solidifies your mass appeal. I’ve got the tag of the fastest 100-crore film, 2025’s first outsider. It’s a sort of recognition from the film fraternity as well. When success is attached to you and there’s a worldwide appreciation for your acting skills, it truly adds to everything.”
