‘Uneducated With Low IQ, If Moral Is So Important…’, Sandeep Vanga Lashes Out

Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga responds to criticism of his films Animal and Kabir Singh, calling critics "people with low IQ."

Despite critics and controversies, Ranbir Kapoor's Animal created a storm at the box office and defeated Amir Khan's Dangal, Ranveer Kapoor's Padmaavat, and mega star Shahrukh Khan's Jawan and Pathaan in the box office collection. However, critics slammed director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for his misogynistic approach and violence. In a recent interview, Vanga hit back at all the film critics who criticize his film. The director also suspects that critics hold personal grudges against him. Vanga, who came into the limelight after the huge success of Shahid Kapoor's starrer Kabir Singh. He does get bothered by it beyond a point. "It's better to make cartoons if morality is so important in cinema," said Vanga to the media, adding that films cannot be made by keeping morality in mind. He called those critics uneducated and ill-treated people with low IQs. Vanga further said film critics are saying the movie is making women uncomfortable; school children are running away from theaters in the middle of the film. He shared that if the movie has already been given an A certificate, then why do school kids and others who are not comfortable with his cinema going to theaters to watch his films. He concluded by saying he will continue making films the way he wants without taking into consideration what film critics think. Animal has already crossed 800 crore globally at the box office.
