Lalit Modi’s new Romance: Former IPL chief Lalit Modi, previously linked to Sushmita Sen, has sparked rumours of a new romance with supermodel Ujjwala Raut. The founder of IPL was reportedly seen with Ujjwala at a reception party of a former Solicitor General of India in London.
Photographs of the two together have surfaced on the internet, leading to speculations about their relationship. While these reports remain unconfirmed, it’s worth getting to know more about Ujjwala Raut. Born in 1978, Ujjwala is widely recognised as one of the original supermodels who left a lasting impact on the Indian fashion scene during the 90s.
Ujjwala embarked on her modelling journey as a 17-year-old commerce student when she participated in Miss India and secured the title ‘Look of the Year.’ As the late 90s approached, Ujjwala Raut solidified her position as one of India’s top models. She graced the runway for numerous international designers and prestigious labels, including Roberto Cavalli, Hugo Boss, Gucci, and many others.
Notably, she was among the pioneering Indian models to walk the runway for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, accomplishing this feat in 2002 and 2003. Ujjwala transitioned into television in 2012 when she served as a judge on the show MTV Supermodel of the Year, alongside Milind Soman.
In June 2004, Ujjwala entered matrimony with Scottish filmmaker Maxwell Sterry, but sadly, the couple parted ways in 2011. She is a devoted mother to her daughter Ksha.
