TV Actor Sapna Singh Gangwa’s Son Found Dead In Bareilly; Police Suspect Alcohol And Drug Overdose

The body of 14-year-old Sagar Gangwar, son of TV actress Sapna Singh Gangwar, was discovered near Adalakhia village in Bareilly. His death is suspected to be linked to alcohol and drug overdose.

The body of 14-year-old Sagar Gangwar, son of TV actress Sapna Singh Gangwar, was discovered near Adalakhia village in Bareilly’s Izzatnagar area on Monday morning, two days after he went missing. Police have detained two individuals, Anuj Singh Chaudhary (20) and Sunny (19), for questioning regarding his death.

Sagar Gangwar’s body was found with severe injuries, including a slit throat and fractured limbs, near Adalakhia village on Monday morning. His disappearance was reported two days earlier when he left with his friend, Anuj Singh Chaudhary, to play cricket. Sagar was a Class 8 student living with his maternal uncle, Rajesh Kumar Gangwar, in Bareilly, while his mother resides in Mumbai.

Police Investigation

Police have detained Chaudhary and another individual, Sunny, both college students, for questioning. SSP Bareilly Anurag Arya stated, “The exact cause of death could not be determined. There are no traces of poisoning, but we suspect excessive alcohol consumption combined with a drug overdose.” The autopsy report will be sent to the state forensic department for further clarification. Rajesh Kumar Gangwar, Sagar’s uncle, said, “On Saturday around 3 pm, Sagar was called to play cricket by his friend and our neighbor Anuj. When he didn’t return by night, I called Anuj, who said Sagar had fallen asleep at his place. On Sunday morning, Anuj claimed he had dropped Sagar at the Satipur intersection.”

Social Media Response

Sapna Singh Gangwar took to social media on Wednesday to vent her frustration over her son’s death. “My son is no more. Some people shot him, broke his hand and leg, and slit his throat. What harm did my innocent child do to anyone that he was killed so brutally?” she wrote. She also demanded, “The murderers of my son should be killed in a police encounter.”

Police Actions

Baradari police station SHO Sunil Kumar stated, “We have taken Anuj and Sunny into custody. An FIR will be filed based on the evidence.” The report will be sent to the forensic department for further investigation.

Sagar Gangwar’s death has shocked the local community, including his mother, Sapna Singh Gangwar, known for her roles in TV serials like Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai and Crime Patrol. The investigation continues as police gather more details to understand the circumstances surrounding his death
