Turkiye is fast becoming a first-choice location for film shoots for the cinema companies from all over the world and Indian film producers too are showing keen interest in Turkiye after Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha was extensively shot in Turkiye.

Recently, a three-day convention aimed at introducing foreign locations to Bollywood producers was held at Mumbai. The convention named, India International Film Tourism Conclave (IIFTC), saw bigwigs from Bollywood interacting with the line producers from various countries, and Turkiye cought their special attention. At this conclave, a seasoned film producer and line-producer Ms. Nur Basaran represented Turkiye, and she is elated by the response she received from Bollywood.

“Yes, the response has been phenomenal. All the Indian companies that participated in IIFTC showed huge interest in Turkiye. We, in Turkiye, have a wide variety of locations to suit every need. Also, the standard of film production in Turkiye is quite high, so the availability of all the modern equipment and technicians make Turkiye a preferred destination for film shoots,” said Nur Basaran.

Ms. Basaran has produced, co-produced and line-produced more than 10 films in Turkey, and nowadays she is working on her Indo-Turkiye feature film project. Apart from that, she has been promoting Turkiye as a destination for film shootings through her company named Magic Line Film Production.

Nur says, “Turkiye is always ready and geared up to welcome the Indian film companies to shoot their films and songs there. We provide all the necessary permissions and logistics for the crew, so that they can concentrate on the creative part only. And, trust me, they will like to go to Turkiye again and again for shoots as there is no dearth of film locations.”
