Over the months, Bhushan Kumar and Anurag Basu assured that ‘Aashiqui 3’ would be a memorable musical love story. The team has been diligently working to craft a distinctive music score for the film, aiming to create an enduring impact.

Now, as reported by Pinkvilla it has been exclusively revealed that the Aashiqui 3 team has finalized Triptii Dimri as the female lead opposite Kartik Aaryan. A source closely associated with the project disclosed that the makers have chosen Triptii, the current national sensation, to portray the romantic interest opposite Kartik Aaryan. Triptii garnered widespread attention following the monumental success of Animal, and the filmmakers believe that her on-screen chemistry with Kartik Aaryan will be nothing short of electrifying. Discussions about this casting decision have been ongoing for a while, and the team has now officially secured Triptii as the female lead.

The upcoming Anurag Basu-directed ‘Aashiqui 3’ is set to commence filming in the first quarter of 2024, with additional cast members expected to be finalized soon. Notably, this marks Kartik Aaryan’s second venture into a franchise, following Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The actor is enthusiastic about delving into the realm of intense romance with Aashiqui, a departure from his previous roles in romantic comedies. Having primarily been associated with light-hearted romantic comedies, Kartik is eager to explore the more serious and intense facets of love stories, making this transition an exciting journey for the actor.

As per the insider, Kartik and Triptii are slated to engage in workshops and script reading sessions before commencing the filming of Aashiqui 3. This collaboration marks the inaugural partnership between Kartik and Triptii and is scheduled to kick off in the first quarter of 2024. In addition to Aashiqui 3, Kartik is also preparing to begin shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, directed by Anees Bazmee, with plans for a Diwali 2024 release. This venture will be Kartik’s second installment in the Bhool Bhulaiyaa series, following the blockbuster success of part 2 in 2022.
