Tourist Family, a critically acclaimed Tamil comedy film, is set to release on OTT. It was released in theatres on May 1 and has been receiving a good response due to the performances and plot. The movie is set against the backdrop of economic challenges in Sri Lanka and focuses on a Sri Lankan Tamil family, who goes on a journey for a better and secure future.
JioHotstar Tamil took to X (formely Twitter) to announce the OTT debut of the show. The film will stream on Jio Hotstar from June 2. The OTT platform wrote, “Mark your date to welcome the most loved family on June 2nd #TouristFamily streaming from June 2 on #JioHotstar”

Written and directed by debuted Abishan Jeevinth, the movie stars M. Sasikumar, Simran, Mithun Jai Sankar and Kamalesh in the lead roles and Yogi Babu, Ramesh Thilak, and M.S. Bhaskar in key roles. Million Dollar Studios and MRP Entertainment bankrolled this flick.
According to Sacnilk, the movie has garnered Rs 75.51 crores in 19 days, securing its position as the 5th highest grossing Tamil film of 2025.
