New Delhi: Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, who is known for acting in films is going to step out of his comfort zone and going to become the first civilian to perform a spacewalk in his upcoming film. The movie is being made on a huge budget and the scenes will be shot on the International Space Station.

Donna Langley’s conformation
Donna Langley, Universal Pictures’ head, confirmed the news in an interview with the BBC. She said, “Tom Cruise is taking us to space. He’s taking the world into space. That’s the plan, We have a great project in development with Tom, that does contemplate him doing just that. Taking a rocket up to the space station and shooting and hopefully being the first civilian to do a spacewalk outside of the space station.” and added, “actually [mostly] takes place on Earth, and then the character needs to go up to space to save the day.”
While describing the character of Cruise. She said, “a down-on-his-luck guy who finds himself in the position of being the only person who could save Earth.”

About the film
In this film, Tom Cruise will be playing the role of a lucky guy, who will face an extraordinary case where only he could save Earth. For smooth production, the team is working with both NASA and Elon Musk’s SpaceX company. This film will mark the first Hollywood studio film to shoot in space.
Tom Cruise has already worked with director Liman for the films such as “Edge of Tomorrow” (2014) and “American Made” (2017).
