Following the blockbuster opening of Pushpa 2: The Rule on Thursday, it seems that problems for lead actor Allu Arjun may escalate in the coming days after a 39-year-old woman allegedly died, and her son sustained severe injuries in a stampede in Hyderabad on late Wednesday night as fans tried to catch a glimpse of the Telugu actor.
According to reports, the tragic incident occurred at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad when the actor unexpectedly arrived at the theatre during the premiere. The police stated that Allu Arjun appeared at the theatre without any prior notice. “There was no intimation from the theatre management or the actor’s team about his visit,” the Hyderabad police said in a press statement issued on Thursday.
The police also noted that the mall security failed to make proper arrangements. “There was no separate entry or exit for the actor, despite knowing he would be present,” the police added.
The deceased woman has been identified as Revathi, a resident of Dilsukhnagar in Hyderabad. She had attended the event with her husband and two children. As fans spotted Allu Arjun, they rushed toward him, leading to the stampede. Locals attempted to perform CPR, but the woman later succumbed to her injuries.
Pushpa 2: The Rule is the sequel to Pushpa: The Rise, which was released on December 17, 2021. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the release of Pushpa 2 since 2021. According to reports, the movie grossed more than ₹59 crore on its opening day.
