Actor Gurucharan Singh, known from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has been in the headlines lately because of his critical health issue. He is currently hospitalized and facing significant debt. His close friend, Bhakti Soni, disclosed that no one, including Singh’s family, is providing support for him during this challenging period.
Speaking with ETimes, the actor’s close friend, Bhakti Soni, revealed, “He had a debt of about Rs 1.2 crore. However, his father owns a property worth ₹55 crore. Unfortunately, there is an ongoing dispute as the tenants are not vacating the property. If the matter gets resolved and the property is sold, he should be able to clear his loan,”

Singh’s friend additionally stated that the actor has depleted all of his funds and mentioned, “When he needs support the most, no one, including his family members, is helping him. It’s only friends like me and one friend in Delhi who have been supporting him financially.”
Gurucharan Singh Financial Issue
In July 2024, Gurucharan Singh opened up about his financial challenges. In an interview with the Bombay Times, he shared that he left Mumbai in 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic and tried to start his own business. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned for various reasons, leading to difficult financial times for him. He expressed that this situation left him feeling “very disturbed.”
During the interview, he mentioned the assistance he wanted from the industry, stating that… “I am asking people from the industry to support me. I am back and want to do a lot of work. I also want to pay off all the loans and debts that I have, one by one. That can happen through my work, and I am ready to work hard. I have realised that I can continue my spiritual journey even while fulfilling my other responsibilities in life.”
