Popular YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina have been receiving huge backlash due to the recent episode of India’s Got Latent. Ranveer along with social media influencer Apoorva Makhija and YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani appeared in Samay’s show India’s Got Latent.
India’s Got Latent is known for its dark humour and the comment made by Ranveer popularly known as beer biceps where he asked the contestant “Would you watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or would you join in once and stop it forever?”
This remark has been receiving massive backlash online from netizens demanding strict action against them and asking authorities to shut down the show and multiple police complaints by politicians were logged in Mumbai and Guwahati amid massive outrage.
The remarks provoked intense criticism resulting in the cancellation of the Gujarat Show.
The Gujarat Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) spokesperson Hitendrasinh Rajput revealed that Raina was supposed to perform in Surat on April 17 followed by Vadodara on April 18 before concluding his tour in Ahmedabad across the 19th and 20th of April. The booking for the performances seem to have been called off amid massive outrage.
According to Ashvin Patel, the Vice President of VHP, the organizers decided to take down the performances as the controversy escalated; he also appreciated the people of Gujarat who have demonstrated an excellent awareness of this situation. Patel in his statement has also requested event organizers to refrain from inviting such performers in the future.

In response to backlash Ranveer Allahbadia aka beerbiceps posted a video on Instagram asking for an apology, he said, “My comment wasn’t just inappropriate, it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I’m just here to say sorry. Many of you asked if this is how I wish to use my platform and obviously, this is not how I wish to use it. I’m not going to give any context or justification or reasoning behind whatever happened.”
Samay Raina reacted to the backlash and wrote on X, “Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all India’s Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you.”
The controversy continues to gain momentum and many demanded that Samay should apologise as well instead of just deleting the videos.
