Thunderbolts, which marks the end of Phase Five of Marvel Cinematic Universe, has finally arrived in theatres worldwide. The movie has been receiving a good response from the audience and it is a big relief for Marvel as many past projects got underwhelming response. The cast of Thunderbolts will not appear in Avengers: Doomsday. Amid the buzz, Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth and other cast of Avengers Doomsday gathered together for a movie night on the set.
Marvel posted a picture with several superheroes on social media and it has broken the internet. They wrote, “Movie night on the set of Avengers: Doomsday. #Thunderbolts*”

Robert Downey Jr, Winston Duke, Paul Rudd, Channing Tatum, Simu Liu, Chris Hemsworth and Anthony Mackie were seen posting together in the photo. For the unversed, Robert will return to the MCU as Doctor Doom after playing Iron Man. Meanwhile, Chris, Channing, Simu Liu, Paul Rudd and Anthony will return as Thor, Shang Chi, Ant-Man and Captain America respectively.
While speaking to Entertainment Weekly about the new development in Thunderbolts, director Jake Schreier said, “You know as much as I know about that. I mean, I was there, but I didn’t direct that scene. That comes from the set of a movie that is officially beginning production on Monday.”
He added, “I was very happy to be there and lucky to be there. It was so fun to see your characters go off into this bigger context. We’ve been living in our own contained world, but it was really fun to see them there.”
In an earlier interview with Empire, the filmmaker talked about the plot of ‘Thunderbolts’. He said, “I’ve seen a lot of synopses out there that just say, as though it’s a fact, that it’s a team assembled by Valentina to go do bad things. I understand why that would be the assumption, but that is not the story.”
Talking about Yelena’s role in Thunderbolts, he added, “She’s front and center. Yelena is in a certain place at the beginning of the film, and how she finds her way out of that place, and who she finds herself out of that place with, is at the heart of the story. It’s exciting to think of movies like Ronin or Reservoir Dogs, where you have a group of people that has no reason to trust each other. Could they even learn to work together? What sort of conflicts would arise?”
Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, Lewis Pullman, Geraldine Viswanathan, Chris Bauer, Wendell Pierce, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus are seen in the lead roles.
