The Kapoor family has established a legacy in Indian cinema, and the audience is forever grateful for their stellar work. From Prithviraj Kapoor to Shammi Kapoor, Bollywood’s first family has redefined different eras with their charm. But there is one relative of the Kapoor family who is lesser known but established himself as a villain. It is none other than Kamal Kapoor.
Kamal Kapoor worked in more than 500 movies in his entire career. Born in 1920 in Peshawar, North-West Frontier Province, British India, he started his career in the 40s. His first film was released in 1946, titled ‘Door Chalen’. Kamal Kapoor shifted to playing villain in the 1960s and 70s.

He was well known for his work in Pakeezah, Seeta aur Geeta, Khel Khel Mein, Aag, Black Mail, Chor Machaye Shor, Laila Majnu, Amar Akbar Anthony, Nastik, Meri Jung, and many more.
He had five children: three sons and two daughters. His younger daughter is married to filmmaker Ramesh Behl and is the mother of Goldie Behl.
Kamal Kapoor was the first cousin of Prithviraj Kapoor. This means he was the uncle of Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor.
