This past week, Jr NTR’s new film with director Prashanth Neel started filming. The movie, which doesn’t have a title yet, is being called #NTRNeel. It’s being made on a huge scale and aims to be the biggest project of NTR’s career since RRR, with talks of its huge budget and big scenes already making the rounds.
The film started shooting on Thursday at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. Director Prashanth Neel directed an intense action scene with about 3000 extras to create a riot scene. A behind-the-scenes photo from the shoot gave a glimpse of how big and intense the scene is.

How NTR’s Next Film Surpasses Big Bollywood Movies
According to 123 Telugu, #NTRNeel has a budget of ₹360 crore, making it one of the highest for any upcoming film. While the producers haven’t confirmed the exact amount, other reports mention a similar figure of ₹350 crore. Either way, #NTRNeel’s budget is 150% higher than Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava, the current top Bollywood hit. In fact, the Telugu action film’s budget is bigger than major Bollywood films like Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5 (₹300 crore) and Hrithik Roshan’s War 2 (₹200 crore). Interestingly, War 2 will also mark Jr NTR’s Bollywood debut.
Jr NTR is expected to start shooting for the next schedule of the film in March 2025. There are also rumors that actors Rukmini Vasanth and Tovino Thomas will be part of the movie. Although the film’s title hasn’t been revealed yet, it is set for a big theatrical release on January 9, 2026. The movie is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts.
