Filmmaker Karan Johar has charmed fans all over the years with his popular reality show ‘Koffee With Karan’. He will return with another reality show titled ‘The Traitors’, which follows the similar rules of its American version. The show has created excitement among the audience as it will feature some popular names as the participants.
The Traitors Release Date and OTT Platform:
The Traitors will release on Prime Video on June 12 on Prime Video. A new episode will air every Thursday.
According to Prime Video, the synopsis reads, “Welcome to The Traitors — an ruthless reality show hosted by the enigmatic Karan Johar. Here 20 players will openly betray each other for daily eliminations to compete for a grand prize of upto 1 crore rupees. Hidden amongst the innocent players are the traitors who are out to murder each night. In this ruthless game, trust is rare and betrayal everywhere.”
The show will have 10 episodes in total.
Sharing the trailer, Karan Johar wrote, “Keep your hearts cold and your popcorn warm, it’s dhokha time! #TheTraitorsOnPrime, New Series , June 12”

It will feature Urfi Javed, Ashish Vidyarthi, Jannat Zubair Rahmani, Sahil Salathia, Apoorva Makhija, Karan Kundrra, Sufi Motiwala, Nikita Luther, Mukesh Chhabra, Raj Kundra, Harsh Gujral, Anshula Kapoor, Lakshmi Manchu, Elnaaz Norouzi, Janvee Gaurr, Maheep Kapoor, Purav Jha, Jasmin Bhasin and Sudhanshu Pandey.
Talking about the show, Karan Johar said in a statement, “Characterized by lies, deceit, betrayal, and a whole lot of drama, The Traitors is a show to watch out for! You will see me enjoy myself to the hilt, as I not only orchestrate the gameplay but also get a front-row seat to all the chaos, conflicts, and conspiracies that transpire between the 20 players. The drama gets way too real, and the stakes even more so. While the players enter the palace ready to outsmart, outplay, and outlast everyone else, all their strategies go out the window the moment I choose the traitors from amongst them. So, rise and shine, cause it’s Dhokha Time! Starting June 12, the audience are in for a treat, with twists they won’t see coming, lies that feel real, on-the-edge moments that’ll make them gasp, and just when they think they’ve figured it out, the game flips on its head.”
