Prime Video’s hit series ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ has finally come to an end with its third season. However, Belly and Conrad’s love story still felt incomplete to the viewers despite their reunion. The makers have finally announced ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty The Movie’, which will showcase more glimpses of Belly’s life.
Announcing the movie, the makers simply dropped the photo of Lola Tung and Christopher Briney in front of the film’s banner.
At the end of the finale episode, the show’s creator shared a note for the fans, giving them hope for the fourth season. The note reads, “Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the love you’ve shown The Summer I Turned Pretty all these years. Whether you’ve been with Belly since the very first book or joined us with the show, I’m so grateful you’ve made Belly’s story part of your summers. We put our whole hearts into this show, and we’re so thankful to you for coming along with us on the ride. Maybe we’ll meet again one summer in Cousins. Until then—All of my love always, Jenny.”
Talking about the new movie, Jenny Han said in a statement, “There is another big milestone left in Belly’s journey, and I thought only a movie could give it its proper due. I’m so grateful to Prime Video for continuing to support my vision for this story and for making it possible to share this final chapter with the fans.”
In the last episode, Belly and Conrad reunite in Paris after a long time and spend some time together, exploring the city. Even though they have feelings for each other, they do not confess and downplay their love. Belly once again begins to distance herself from Conrad due to her conflicting emotions, and Conrad also decides to move away from her life once again. Later, she finally realises she still loves Conrad and races to the railway station to meet him.

The series ends up with Belly revealing that she is married to Conrad and they arrive at Cousins as a couple.
