Prime Video’s hit series ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ has finally come to an end with its third season. Belly and Conrad’s reunion has become the topic of discussion on social media, but netizens are still confused. For the unversed, Gavin Casalegno, who plays Jeremiah, was seen filming some scenes in Paris. Jenny Han has now revealed that those scenes were fake to create confusion among fans.
While speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Jenny revealed, “We did have Gavin come out so that we could have some stuff with him in Paris, just because I like to keep surprises for the audience. That’s really hard in this day and age. As movies get filmed, people see the whole movie, and I think it takes away from some of the excitement around it when you have all these spoilers. So that was my way of trying to protect the story for the audience.”
Gavin further added, “Obviously they weren’t in the episodes, but it was kind of fun to do that and see people leaning out of their balconies recording it. Because I was like, ‘They’re never going to see this. It was cool. I felt like a CIA agent or something.”

In the fake scene, Gavin was seen hugging Lola Tung, who plays Belly.
Meanwhile, ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ will return with a movie. Talking about the new movie, Jenny Han said in a statement, “There is another big milestone left in Belly’s journey, and I thought only a movie could give it its proper due. I’m so grateful to Prime Video for continuing to support my vision for this story and for making it possible to share this final chapter with the fans.”
In the last episode, Belly and Conrad reunite in Paris after a long time and spend some time together, exploring the city. Even though they have feelings for each other, they do not confess and downplay their love. Belly once again begins to distance herself from Conrad due to her conflicting emotions, and Conrad also decides to move away from her life once again. Later, she finally realises she still loves Conrad and races to the railway station to meet him. The series ends up with Belly revealing that she is married to Conrad and they arrive at Cousins as a couple.
