Shah Rukh Khan Expresses Joy In Voicing Mufasa Alongside Sons Aryan And AbRam
Shah Rukh Khan talked about the project, saying, “Mufasa is a legendary character who represents the ultimate king of the jungle, sharing his wisdom with his son, Simba. I connect with him as a father and relate to his journey in the film. Mufasa: The Lion King shows Mufasa’s life from childhood to becoming a great king, and revisiting this role has been wonderful. Working with Disney on this project is special, especially since my sons, Aryan and AbRam, are involved. Sharing this experience with them means a lot to me.”
Bikram Duggal, Head of Studios at Disney Star, said, “Mufasa is more than just a fictional character; he represents a spirit that inspires generations, something Disney aims to bring with every story. When we announced Mufasa: The Lion King, we knew Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan were perfect for the roles of Mufasa and Simba. With AbRam joining the cast, the movie has become even more special. We hope millions of Indian families enjoy this amazing story together!”
Directed by Barry Jenkins, Mufasa: The Lion King brings new and beloved characters to life by combining live-action filmmaking with realistic computer-generated imagery.
