‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Box Office Day 7: Pedro Pascal-Vanessa Kirby Film Wraps Strong Week 1 Globally, Stumbles In India

Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps opened to a powerful global response, reigniting interest in the franchise. However, its Week 1 performance in India remained underwhelming.

‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’, the most-awaited Marvel movie of 2025, recently hit theatres worldwide. The movie has been receiving an amazing response from the audiences, which is a big relief for Marvel Studios, as several of their past projects underperformed.

In its first week, The Fantastic Four: First Steps struggled to pick up pace at the Indian box office. Despite the global hype, the film couldn’t make a mark here due to limited screens, tough competition from Bollywood releases, and a dip in interest around superhero flicks.

The Fantastic Four First Steps Box Office Collection India Day 7:

The Fantastic Four: First Steps had a decent run in its first week at the Indian box office. The film opened on a modest note with Rs 5.5 crore on Day 1, followed by a healthy jump over the weekend, earning Rs 7.35 crore on Day 2 and Rs 7.25 crore on Day 3. However, collections dipped significantly on Monday, bringing in Rs 2.07 crore, a 71% drop from Day 4. Day 5 saw a slight recovery with Rs 2.19 crore, while Day 6 slipped again to Rs 1.53 crore.

According to Sacnilk’s early estimates, the film collected Rs 0.46 crore on Day 7, indicating a sharp fall. Despite the weekday slump, the film managed a respectable first-week total across its English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions.

The Marvel film might have earned more if Saiyaara wasn’t dominating the box office. Since Bollywood movies were the top choice for audiences this weekend, the one starring Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby clearly took a major hit. Now, with two more Bollywood releases Dhadak 2 and Son of Sardar 2 hitting theatres, competition has only intensified. At this point, even reaching the Rs 30 crore mark seems increasingly unlikely.

The Fantastic Four First Steps Box Office Collection Worldwide Day 7:

Internationally, however, The Fantastic Four had a strong start at the box office. Marvel’s Fantastic Four: First Steps blasted off with an impressive $227 million global debut. Pedro Pascal and the cast lit up screens worldwide, with the film coming close to matching the momentum of Superman.

The movie starring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby is expected to earn around $45 million in its second weekend, continuing to hold the top spot at the box office. By Sunday, it could cross the $200 million mark in the U.S. Meanwhile.

Compared to other superhero films in similar regions, its international debut was 4% better than Captain America: Brave New World, 11% better than Superman, and 13% better than Thunderbolts. According to Deadline, The Fantastic Four also had the biggest superhero opening of 2025 in several smaller countries outside Europe and Latin America, including Mexico, the UK, France, Italy, and Spain.

About The Film:

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is set in 1960 on Earth-828. The movie stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn in the lead roles. Julia Garner, Sarah Niles, Mark Gatiss, Natasha Lyonne, Paul Walter Hauser, and Ralph Ineson are seen in pivotal roles.
