The Family Man Recap:
1. Manoj Bajpayee plays Srikant Tiwari, who is a seemingly ordinary middle-class man who secretly works for the Threat Assessment and Surveillance Cell (TASC) in Mumbai. His family remains unaware of his job.
2. He comes across Moosa, who is one of the ISIS operatives and seems innocent. Amid this, TASC comes across several threats that can cause huge damage to the nation and are linked to ISIS.
3. As the tensions loom around Srikant’s professional life, his personal life and relationship with wife Suchi also suffer. Suchi becomes closer to her colleague Arvind due to her troubled relationship with Srikant.
4. Moosa is revealed to be Al Qatil, a dangerous chemical engineer and one of the most-wanted terrorists. He orchestrates an attack on the hospital where he is admitted and escapes. Srikant’s colleagues Jayesh and Pasha are killed in the attack.
5. Srikant and TASC try to prevent Moosa, who plans to spew toxic gases which will kill everyone in Delhi within 2 hours. After seeing Moosa dead, the team celebrates, but the toxic gas starts leaking and leaves the first season on a cliffhanger.
6. Season 2 begins with Srikant quitting TASC and working as an IT employee. TASC successfully averted the gas leak, saving Delhi. He tries to mend his relationship with Suchi but fails. He also quits his job to join TASC again.
7. Srikant’s daughter is caught up in the fiasco as her close friend Kalyaan is revealed to be an ally of Sajid, the terrorist from the Orion chemical fiasco.
8. Samantha Ruth Prabhu is introduced as Raji, a Tamil rebel operative. The new season focuses on Tamil Tigers-esque military resistance from Sri Lanka and their plans for a freedom fight. She is also associated with Sajid, who killed Moosa.
9. TASC suspects 9/11 type attack, whereas Dhriti is kidnapped to punish Srikant. She is saved and finds the true nature of her father’s job.
10. Srikant and the TASC team are successful in defeating Raji, who is killed.
