John Abraham’s political thriller, The Diplomat, was slowly gaining pace at the box office however, from the past three days the film seems to witness a drop in collection. This action thriller, directed by Shivam Nair has been receiving positive word of mouth which is resulting in box office numbers. After a not so spectacular opening, the movie had seen a rise by around 12% on day two, signaling strong audience interest.
Box Office Collection Day 7
As per reports by The Sanilk, The Diplomat saw a dip on the 6th day and collected only Rs.1.34 crore bringing the total collection to 19.10 crore. The film had collected Rs.4 crore net on the opening day and on day 2 the film saw a boost in revenues, collecting Rs.4.5 crore net.

Production Team
The Diplomat is backed by a great team of producers from several of the top production houses. The movie is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under T-Series, together with John Abraham’s JA Entertainment. Vipul D. Shah, Ashwin Varde and Rajesh Bahl have also joined in under Wakaoo Films, while Sameer Dixit, Jatish Varma and Rakesh Dang have sponsored the venture through Fortune Pictures and Seeta Films.
Plot Of The Movie
The movie focuses on a real life diplomat JP Singh, whose life takes a turn when Uzma Ahmed, a woman seeking refuge, arrives at the embassy. She claims to be an Indian citizen who was abducted and forced to marry a Pakistani man. Her harrowing escape and return to India became a major diplomatic event, forming the basis of the film’s gripping narrative. Singh has to deal with complexities of international diplomacy, legal systems, and the pressure from both the Indian and Pakistani governments to deal with the tense situation.
