The Conjuring: Last Rites had a solid first week in India, the film will be facing more competition starting Friday as films such as Mirai, Jugnuma, Ek Chatur Naar, Mannu Kya Karegga, Heer Express, Love In Vietnam, and Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle are releasing in theatres. After a 42 per cent drop from Tuesday, September 9, to Wednesday, September 10, The Conjuring: Last Rites held steady on its first Thursday. Sacnilk’s early estimates show that on Thursday evening, September 11, the horror film earned Rs 3 crore. The total box office collection for the film is 67.19 crore.

The terrifying franchise is extremely lucrative
Over the past weekend, The Conjuring: Last Rites shattered box office records, claiming the largest opening of all time for a horror movie with $194 million. Competing against a $55 million budget, the latest entry in the horror franchise has already grossed $243.6 million globally.
Written by Ian Goldberg, Richard Naing, and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, The Conjuring: Last Rites also stars Mia Tomlinson and Ben Hardy. The original director, James Wan, contributed to the film’s story and remains on as an executive producer. Another prequel and and television series by Nancy Won are also in development.
Rs 100 crore club
Initial analysis suggest that while the movie may not be in the running for the Rs 100 crore club during its second weekend, if it continues at its current rate at the box office, it will soon cross the Rs 100 crore mark, which will make it only the 4th Hollywood film to cross this milestone in 2023.
