The Conjuring: Last Rites opened strong at the Indian box office, surpassing the Bollywood releases of the day. On its first Friday, the Hollywood horror film collected an impressive Rs 18 crore net in India (early estimates).

The Conjuring: Last Rites smashed past its $40M+ projections, opening to a massive $65 million worldwide after earning $30 million on Friday, including Thursday previews. If the numbers hold, it will mark the biggest opening in the Conjuring franchise and rank as the fifth-highest September debut of all time, behind films like It, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, It: Chapter Two, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings.
About The Conjuring Last Rites
The latest film continues from The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021) and is the ninth movie in The Conjuring Universe. Produced by James Wan and Peter Safran, it has Michael Chaves returning as director.
Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga reprise their roles as paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, who take on one final chilling case involving dark and mysterious forces. The movie also introduces Mia Tomlinson in her film debut as their daughter Judy Warren, while Ben Hardy plays Judy’s boyfriend, Tony Spera. Wilson and Farmiga have been part of the franchise since the very first film, The Conjuring (2013).
