New Delhi: This holiday season, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn squared off at the box office. Their flicks Ram Setu and Thank God were released on the same day as Diwali (October 25). It’s safe to conclude, though, that the film is underrepresented in terms of membership. The family film, which stars Sidharth Malhotra, Rakul Preet Singh, and Ajay Devgn, has run into trouble. Without a doubt, the film has performed poorly at the Indian box office.
Box Office Collection
On October 25, Thank God debuted in theatres amid high anticipation. The movie made a substantial opening day revenue of Rs 8.10 crore at the box office. But ever since, the numbers have been incredibly dismal. As per the media reports, Thank God made between Rs 4 crore and Rs 4.50 crore on its third day of release after earning Rs 14.10 crore in its first two days. As a result, the total amount collected is now Rs 18.10 crore. This is a poor performance for a Diwali release. On Thursday, October 27, Hindi viewers watched Thank God with a total occupancy rate of 11.47 per cent.
About Thank God
Actor Sidharth Malhotra, who plays the lead character, described Thank God as a pleasant comedy with a social message at its core. Indra Kumar, who is known for the comedy Dhamaal and Ishq, is in charge of directing it.
In the film, Sidharth plays a conceited guy who, following an accident, ends up in “Yamlok,” where Chitragupta, portrayed by Ajay Devgn, offers him a second chance at life in exchange for participating in a game.
