The upcoming vampire comedy-drama Thamma, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, has kicked off advance bookings on a promising note. Within just a couple of hours, over 4,000 tickets were sold across PVR and Inox screens, with total pre sales in national chains expected to exceed 5,000 admissions.
The film, backed by Maddock Films is targeting a blockbuster opening despite general slow advance bookings due to festive preparations. Experts predict strong walk ins and spot bookings on release day, potentially pushing the numbers past 15,000 tickets.
The makers are adding extra excitement with midnight paid premieres on October 20, a day before the film’s nationwide release. These special shows will be in select multiplexes in major cities and are meant to match the success of Stree 2 and see how audiences respond.
