Horror-comedy has become a popular genre in India over the past few years with the success of movies like 'Stree', 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2', 'Bhediya' and many more. Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films is considered a pioneer in making this genre popular once again with its 'Horror Comedy Universe'. 'Thama' will be the new addition to this universe after the success of 'Stree', 'Bhediya', 'Munjya' and 'Stree 2'.
Starring Ayushmann Khurranaa and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, 'Thama' has finally received a new exciting update after its announcement in 2024. The teaser of 'Thama' will be unveiled on August 19, 2025.

The movie also stars Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the pivotal roles. Not much has been revealed about the plot of 'Thama' but the movie will reportedly showcase the story of a vampire.
All the movies in Maddock Horror Universe have been major hits. Upcoming movies in this universe are: Shakti Shalini, Bhediya 2, Chamunda, Stree 3, Maha Munjya, Pehla Mahayudh and Doosra Mahayudh.
According to reports, Kiara Advani will be seen in the lead role in 'Shakti Shalini'. 'Bhediya 2' will mark Varun Dhawan's return in the franchise but Kriti Sanon's involment in he film remains a mystery. Alia Bhatt is rumoured to join this horror universe with 'Chamunda'.
